Congratulations to our February Student and Employee of the Month!
Our Student of the Month is 9th grader Jonathan Flores, and he was nominated by Mrs. Shamsie! Here is what she had to say about Jonathan, "Jonathan is one of the most respectful students that I have had here at RJHS. He is trying very hard to succeed both behaviorally and academically. He is concerned about his grades and his future and his effort shows that."
Our Employee of the Month is 9th-grade English teacher, Mrs. Leslie Boles. She was nominated by Marley McClanhan and here is what she had to say about Mrs. Boles," Mrs. Boles is an AMAZING teacher!! She always makes sure everyone understands the material we’re learning and that no man is left behind. Her kind nature and approachability show that she truly cares about her students and their well-being and welfare in her class. She has a smile on her face every day, no matter the day. She always greets every one of her students with a wave and a “hello!” No matter what kind of day you’ve had, Mrs. Boles is sure to put a smile on your face. Every day in class, she asks everyone for their good things and how their day was. On days when you feel like everything is wrong and nothing's going your way, you can always look forward to English class. Mrs. Boles spends time making sure she makes meaningful connections with her students and that every student knows they are loved and cared for while they are at school, and that they matter. This is extremely important, especially at a time when many kids grow up without an adult figure who makes sure they know that they are important and matter. Mrs. Boles is an excellent role model and someone that anyone can look up to. She makes English fun, even for those who don’t enjoy it, and understanding Shakespeare actually felt easy with her as a guide. Mrs. Boles does her best every day to make sure every student feels understood and validated in their emotions, and that is why I believe she deserves to be recognized as employee of the month."
