RSD School Receive State Recognition

Congratulations to the following RSD schools for receiving state recognition for the following achievements based on their performance and/or growth on ESSA scores.

Russellville Intermediate School: 

RIS has been recognized as a 2023 Arkansas School on the Move Toward Excellence. This recognition is earned by an increase in Letter Grade and 5 or more points of increase in overall ESSA School Index  from 2022 to 2023)

Center Valley Elementary School: 

CVE was named a 2023 School on the Move Toward Excellence based on Value Added Growth Recognition for an increase in their weighted achievement score. 

CVE was also recognized by DESE for Top 6-10% performance in 2022-2023 ESSA scores and Top 5% Growth in 2022-2023 ESSA Scores. This award is a part of the  Arkansas School Recognition Program which was created to provide financial awards to public schools that experience high student performance, student academic growth. 

Center Valley Elementary has also been recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as a school where students demonstrated high growth on the ACT Aspire! They received the following awards: 

  • High Overall Growth (Statewide)

  • High ELA Growth (Statewide)

  • High ELA Growth (Northwest region)

London Elementary School: 

London Elementary has been recognized in the Arkansas School Recognition Program for Top 6-10% Growth in 2022-2023 ESSA Scores.

Sequoyah Elementary School: 

Sequoyah has been recognized in the Arkansas School Recognition Program for Top 5% Performance in 2022-2023 ESSA Scores. 

The total amount of money awarded to these schools by the state is $118,150!
