Superintendent's letter to RSD faculty, staff, and students 3.13.20

Rachel Jones

March 13, 2020

This coming Monday, March 16th, the Russellville School District will be closed.

The purpose of this school closing is so that we may thoroughly clean and sanitize all of our school buildings and, secondly, how we plan to implement the CDC guidelines for schools who are in session.

All building leaders will report to Central Office while their buildings are being cleaned, to assist in this plan. All personnel will be off on Monday except Building and Central office leaders and all full-time 248 day employees.

Please understand that we will have to make this day up. It does not qualify as an AMI day.

Therefore, it will be added to the end of the school year. Students, you do not have to do your AMI work. In essence, it is a day off from school for students and teachers.
