The Lady Cyclone golf team won the 5A West for the 5th consecutive season. Russellville outlasted Greenwood by 2 strokes to claim the top spot.
It was a two horse race and both teams held the lead throughout the day with no more than a 3 stroke advantage. Greenwood had tied the match with 3 holes left. But key pars by Roccelle Manns and Blaire Hindsman held off the Lady Bulldogs.
Manns was the overall medalist with a low round of 75. Anna McSpadden was 5th overall with an 83, and Hindsman had a 97. All 3 Lady Cyclones who scored also scored well enough to be named All Conference.
5A State meet will be next week at Searcy Country Club
