RJHS had an accidental alert on an employee cell phone today at 12:31. We were placed on lockdown for a brief moment. No students or staff were in any danger. When the all clear was given we resumed normal activities at school.

Yesterday, RJHS held its annual Talent Show. So many great acts performed! The Emcees were: Julius Chenault, Day Stoker, Sydney Jones, and Aileen Pineda! The Talent Show winners are: 3rd place-Isabella Palmer, 2nd place- Oasia Collins, and 1st place- Aidan Bucker! #rjhswinds

RJHS is so proud of its Spanish Club! They participated in the AFLTA Spanish Competition and brought home 5 trophies! 1st and 2nd place Poetry for Spanish Native Speakers, 2nd place for Vocabulary Bee for Native Speakers, 2nd place for Speaking, and 3rd place for Drama!





In Art I classes, students are working with clay to create sculptures.




Last week, RJHS was pleased to welcome Leadership Russellville for a tour of the building. They visited several classrooms and learned about the awesome things our students are doing! #rjhswinds

Whirlwind Theater presents "The Aristocats Kids", March 14th-16th! RJHS 8th & 9th graders are performing at 7:00 each night! The price for general admission is $3.00. It's kid friendly and appeals to all ages! Come out and enjoy another great RJHS performance!

The RJHS Robotics team won Tournament Champions and the Excellence Award at the State Championship held this past weekend at Arkansas Tech University! The win qualified the team to go to the VEX Robotics World championship event at Louisville, KY this April! Way to go! #rjhswinds

The RJHS Concert Band did an awesome job at the ASBOA Region IX Concert Assessment yesterday! They earned composite 1's! This ranking makes them a Sweepstakes Band! RJHS is so proud!!! #rjhswinds


Today in Mrs. Hocker's Career Development classes, 8th graders sat through mock interviews. Students have been preparing their resumes and practicing their interview skills in the weeks leading up to today! They all did so well! #rjhswinds

Current 7th and 8th graders interested in trying out for RJHS Cheer and/or Dance: There is a clinic from 4-5:00pm ($10) and a MANDATORY Parent Meeting starting at 5:00pm this Friday (3/1). Next week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday are the cheer tryout clinics from 3:30-5:00 pm. Tryouts are Friday, March 8th, starting at 4:00pm. In Mrs. Jackson's English classes, students are studying Shakespearean language before they begin reading Romeo and Juliet. They are rewriting parts of his plays to look like modern English. #rjhswinds
